Last Updated about a month ago

If you need to move Poser's main runtimes. That's "Poser 13 Content", Included, Downloads and Purchases. These runtime libraries are created as part of Poser's installation and moving them requires reinstalling poser.

Before beginning make sure you have a good backup of your Poser content including the library runtime folders. This will reset all of Poser's general preferences. Any scenes you've created will not be affected.

Download the newest installers from http://www.posersoftware.com/downloads

1. Exit Poser

2. Launch the installer and let it remove the existing installation of Poser.

3. When you come to "Select Content Location" choose --Other location--

4. On the next page choose the folder on your new drive that you want to use for Poser's runtimes.

6. The rest of the installation is as normal.

7. Now to actually move the contents of the libraries to the new location. There are two ways. Only do one of these two.

   a. Copy all the contents from the old location to the new location. Make sure you keep all the folders in the same relative locations.

   b. Re-download the included and purchased content from within Poser's library.

8. If you had any other runtime folders those will need to be added back to the library the same way you added them originally.

9. Once you've moved or re-downloaded Poser's content and have checked every thing is working it's safe to delete the original Poser 13 runtime folder.

Remember steps 3 and 4. Whenever you update Poser you'll want to be sure to use the same content path each time you update Poser.
