How do I change the texture of the ground? (English)
Last Updated a year ago

If you want to use a custom ground texture, you will need to use a template image or an existing ground image to position your custom ground in the right place. These steps show how to replace the ground texture on the Poser 12 Construct (the default ground).  You can use similar steps to replace ground images for other ground props.

Step 1 Open your scene in Poser. Look through Main Camera (Display > Camera View > Main Camera)

Step 2 Switch to the Material room. Use the Eyedropper to "pick up" the ground material.

Step 3 Click the Image Source name to open the Texture Manager.

Step 4 Click the Show In Explorer button to locate the ground image in Windows Explorer. An Explorer window will open to the correct folder.

Step 5 Open your image editing program (such as Photoshop) and drag and drop the ground image into it.

Step 6 Drag and drop the ground image that you WANT to use into a new layer in the Photoshop file. You will need to resize and reposition the image in the right place.

Step 7 You can adjust the opacity/transparency of your image to make sure it is positioned correctly.

Step 8 Reset opacity/transparency back to 100% before you export your new ground texture.

Step 9 Now export your new ground image to the location and file name of your choice. JPG or PNG images are most common.

Step 10 Now click the Browse button in the texture manager to find your new ground image.

Step 11 You should now see the new ground image on your ground.
